30 Stories for 30 Years: Chapter 14– Hitting the Ball Out of the Park for Special Needs Kids

Kennedy Kleszics, daughter of PPAGer Tammi Kleszics, plays for the 14U Central Burlington Knights club softball team.  Go #6! They volunteered this past Sunday to assist the Challenger Baseball of Cherry Hill For Special Kids with Special Needs. Kennedy and the rest of the Knights got to know the kids, gave high-fives, cheered them on to run to the next base and generally had a blast, even though it was a scorching hot day. Tammi and Kennedy met some great parents and even more amazing kids on the field.
Challenger Baseball brings the Little League baseball experience to the Cherry Hill area’s special needs and disabled children. The league is specifically designed for children and young adults regardless of their ability level or mobility. If you’d like to participate as a volunteer or a player buddy, click here.
