Thank you to our clients and colleagues who attended last night’s 9th Annual Silk City Charity Boxing Event. Over $300,000 was raised for St. John the Baptist Cathedral, Saint Peter’s Orphanage and The Do-Good House.

The night featured 10 3-round boxing matches by amateur boxers from across the state- ages 8 to 18, in a variety of weight classes. There was also a women’s boxing match. A star-studded audience of athletes were in attendance including former world class boxers like Chuck Weppner, and Bobby Chef, and NFL players like Plaxico Burress, Otis Anderson, Brandon Jacobs, Victor Cruz and Tiki Barber.

Regulation US Boxing Judges and referees supervised the event to guarantee the fighters’ safety. There were also lovely ring girls to announce each round, giving the event a feel of a professional match. Approximately 400 guests attended the event, plus over 75 boxers, trainers, and coaches, making the evening an unqualified success.
