Patti McGuire has over 30 years of political and government affairs experience in New Jersey. Ms. McGuire, since joining PPAG–Princeton Public Affairs Group has focused on Legislative Strategy for Clients, Business Projects, Education and Healthcare.
Ms. McGuire was recipient of the New Jersey Planned Parenthood Hall of Fame for her work on behalf of Women in New Jersey. She was awarded the Barbara Boggs Sigmund Award by the New Jersey Women’s Political Caucus. Ms. McGuire is currently Co-Chair of the New Jersey Leaders Council, which is a national organization mentoring young progressive people.
Throughout Ms. McGuire’s career she has run numerous training seminars on Political Campaigns. She has been invited lecturer at both Ramapo and Stockton Colleges to discuss Government and Politics.
Prior to joining the Princeton Public Affairs Group in 2009, Ms. McGuire served as Deputy Chief of Staff for three years to Governor Jon S. Corzine. Ms. McGuire coordinated Governor Corzine’s Legislative and Budgetary initiatives. She also worked on behalf of the Governor with Advocacy Groups, Legislators, Local Elected Officials and Commissioners to develop policy on behalf of the Administration.
Ms. McGuire has been an advisor to United States Senators Frank Lautenberg and Robert Menendez. Along with serving as Chief of Staff to then Congressman Robert Menendez and State Director for then United States Senator Jon S. Corzine.
During her endeavors, Ms. McGuire has been a political consultant for numerous campaigns in New Jersey including serving as Political Director for President Clinton, State Director for Kerry for President and Coordinated Campaign Director in the 1997 Governor’s race.
Prior to joining Governor Corzine’s administration, Ms. McGuire was co-owner of Front Porch Strategies, a grass roots advocacy firm.
Ms. McGuire is a graduate of New Jersey City University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. She is an avid New York Mets Fan along with enjoying snorkeling and fishing in the Florida Keys.
