Davon J. McCurry is an emerging government affairs professional, specializing in policy analysis, relationship management, and political strategy.
Prior to joining PPAG in 2016, Mr. McCurry interned with the firm in the spring of 2016, where he was responsible for monitoring legislative issues, assisting with association management grassroots efforts, and supporting clients with policy briefs. He applied his prior health policy experience to support healthcare clients on matters such as charity care and mental health funding. Previously, he interned with Verizon’s Marketing Organization with the external corporate communications group.
Mr. McCurry received his start in state politics through a legislative internship with Assemblyman Troy Singleton (D-7th). He also interned for the New Jersey Hospital Association with the government relations team. Additionally, he has interned with the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy, Verizon’s Public Policy Organization, and the John S. Watson Institute for Public Policy.
Mr. McCurry graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Rutgers University – New Brunswick in Planning and Public Policy in 2017. He was also an Eagleton Undergraduate Associate at the Eagleton Institute of Politics and has served as the State President of New Jersey Phi Beta Lambda, the collegiate division of Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA).
In 2014, Mr. McCurry was named one of the recipients of Burlington County’s “40 under 40” award. He is active in his local community, serving as a member of the Burlington Township Planning Board and the Mayor’s Advisory Committee. Additionally, Mr. McCurry serves as the Board President of the Siani Strong Foundation, a Burlington County non-profit founded in memory of his sister that provides financial assistance to children with blood and bone disorders. He represents the foundation with corporate partners and regional organizations such as the Southern New Jersey Chamber of Commerce.
Born and raised in Burlington, NJ, Mr. McCurry enjoys spending time with family and friends.
