After 8 Long Years SCOTUS to Hear NJ Sports Betting Case

Recently, in a surprising turn of events, the Supreme Court of the United States announced that it will hear New Jersey’s appeal to offer legal sports betting and will be taking a close look at the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act (PASPA) of 1992, the federal prohibition on state-sponsored sports betting.
PPAGer and international gaming expert, Bill Pascrell, III who has been a prime mover behind the legalization of sports betting in New Jersey since 1992, characterized SCOTUS’s decision to hear the case as “a HUGE win for us and the state of NJ.”
