30 Stories– Chapter One: Warming Communities

PPAG in partnership with One Warm Coat, is hosting a winter coat drive now until February 23.

Health experts report that even a 2-degree drop in body temperature results in reduced heart rate, loss of coordination, and confusion. Adults cannot work effectively and children find it difficult to learn. For most, a warm coat solves the problem. But, for the nearly 15% of Americans living in poverty, a warm winter coat is a budget “extra.”

Please bring clean gently used coats from home and drop of at our PPAG offices by February 23.  Men’s winter coats are especially needed.  Help spread the word by sharing the above image on social media.

This is the first of PPAG’s 30th Anniversary initiative, 30 Stories for 30 Years. We’ll be highlighting stories big and small of clients and colleagues who are giving back to the community- whether it be running a coat drive, mentoring students, or even teaching snowboarding lessons for disabled children.

Look for the next chapter in our series coming soon…
